Commerce Title & Abstract Co is looking for our next friendly and energetic Receptionist for our main office! We are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator, is customer-service oriented, and can meet deadlines, multitask, and prioritize in an environment with shifting timeframes and priorities.  We have a dynamic work environment with amazing employees, and we would love to welcome someone who wants to positively contribute to our culture! 

Position Summary 
The Receptionist is the first person our customers talk to and/or meet and aims to give the best impression possible of Commerce Title.  This position provides excellent face-to-face service as well as over the phone, providing customers, vendors, etc. with whatever assistance may be needed and also assists employees with basic administrative support. 

Pay range: $16-18/hour 

Essential Functions 
  • Offers excellent customer service by understanding customer needs 
  • Answers and redirects phone calls appropriately 
  • Greets customers warmly and professionally 
  • Distributes faxes to appropriate parties 
  • Opens new files the day requested 
  • Provides fee quotes to customers as requested 
  • Maintains cleanliness and supplies of lobby and conference rooms 
  • Maintains stock of beverages and snacks in kitchens 
  • Orders drinks/food/snacks for the office
  • Waters plants 
  • Bakes cookies, when appropriate 
  • Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner 
  • Completes other tasks as assigned by supervisor and attorneys 
 Competencies
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer-service oriented
  • Strong reading comprehension skills
  • General computer competency and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently but function within a team-oriented professional structure
  • Ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and prioritize in an environment with shifting timeframes

None

Work Environment
This job is located in a professional office environment.  This position is in the office full-time.

Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role, requiring use of typical office equipment such as a computer, printer, scanner/copier, and phone.

Required Education and Experience
Experience in reception or other customer service roles
High school diploma or equivalent
